Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-17

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using SpeedTestAgent (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

SpeedTestAgent provides a browser-based internet speed measurement tool without requiring an account. Measurements are estimates and depend on factors outside our control, including your device, Wi-Fi, router, ISP routing, network conditions, and the load and location of third-party test endpoints. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, a particular speed, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Tests may transfer a substantial amount of data. Check your plan before testing, especially on a metered connection. ISP and city information is approximate and is supplied by third-party IP-lookup services.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Run automated load tests, scrapers, or denial-of-service attacks against the Service or its endpoints.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, the CORS allowlist, or other technical protections.
  • Reverse-engineer or repurpose the Service to harm third parties.
  • Use the Service in violation of applicable law or another provider's terms.

We may rate-limit, block, or terminate access when necessary to protect the Service, its providers, or other users.

4. Advertising and external services

Advertising is not guaranteed. Manual advertising is disabled by default when no valid real article slot is configured. Manual ads may be requested only on eligible article pages after Google Privacy & Messaging has supplied consent information. Google applies the visitor's privacy choices. If the controls are unavailable or blocked, they show an unavailable message; use the Contact page for help. Google and other providers may process data and set technologies under their own terms as described in the Privacy Policy. A publisher-verification tag does not by itself mean that ads are being served.

Google Privacy & Messaging supplies regional consent and opt-out choices, including the EU and US choices where applicable, even when no ads are shown. The Service also relies on Cloudflare, our API/hosting providers, Google Fonts, IP-lookup providers, and Gmail SMTP. Their availability, processing, and terms are outside our control.

5. Browser data and shareable results

Theme, selected plan and target preferences are stored in your browser for convenience. Recent test history is held in browser memory during a session. When you explicitly create a shareable result, the submitted measurements, ISP and approximate location, and test metadata are stored on our server and displayed to anyone with the link. The public result record does not contain your IP address, although HTTP infrastructure and service providers may handle IP addresses while processing requests.

A shareable result is not private or access-controlled. Do not include information in a test or contact message that you do not want included in a public result or transmitted to the relevant provider. An opaque owner cookie may associate the result with the browser that created it; it is not an account and is not an IP address.

To request removal of a result, use the Contact page and select the privacy-request topic. Include the result link so we can identify it.

6. Contact submissions

The Contact page sends the name, email, topic, and message you provide to our server, which delivers it through Gmail SMTP to the configured support inbox. The form does not send an automatic reply. You are responsible for omitting passwords, payment details, and other unnecessary sensitive information.

7. Intellectual property

The SpeedTestAgent name, logo, design, and source-code arrangement are owned by SpeedTestAgent. The underlying speed-measurement endpoints and brands referenced (including Cloudflare, Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, Google Fiber, Spectrum, Cox, T-Mobile, and Starlink) belong to their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only; no endorsement is implied.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeedTestAgent and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for direct damages will not exceed USD $10.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms when the Service or its practices change. The "Last updated" date identifies the latest revision. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

11. Contact

Questions about these Terms? Use the Contact page. No email address is exposed on this page, and the form does not send an automatic reply.
